For all the women in our congregation:

Read about Rosh Chodesh at Wikipedia. Here’s an excerpt:

Female-centered Rosh Chodesh observances vary from group to group, but many are centered on small gatherings of women, called Rosh Chodesh groups. There is often a particular interest in the Shekinah, considered by the kabbalah to be a feminine aspect of God. These groups engage in a wide variety of activities that center around issues important to Jewish women, depending on the preference of the group's members.

Shop at DeCicco's - Help RTPV!

We are very excited to announce a great and easy way to help out RTPV simply by buying groceries - and it won't cost you a cent!
 DeCicco's

All you need to do is shop at DeCicco's Market located at 3651 Lee Rd, Jefferson Valley (opposite the JV Mall). When you check out just tell the cashier  that you are participating in the rebate program for the Reform Temple of Putnam Valley. The cashier will look up the applicable code and enter it. Simply by doing that, our Temple will get a percentage of whatever the cost of your purchase is. No extra cost to you but a great benefit to us.

We hope that you all take advantage of this opportunity and thank you in advance for your help.

Kids reading prayer books
We are delighted to have the new URJ Mishkan T’filah prayers books for our Sabbath services. The Mishkan T’filah is the first new Reform siddur in more than 30 years.

Sponsoring a Prayer book for use in our sanctuary is a nice way to honor a loved one, friend or life cycle event.

In addition to your tax deductible charitable contribution, a label is placed inside the cover indicating the donor and the occasion.

The cost is $20.
